Open Call: AUSSDA Data Award

Have you worked with data hosted in the AUSSDA Dataverse in your research paper or thesis? Have you created Open Educational Resources using AUSSDA data? Show us how you re-use data in research and teaching and participate in the first AUSSDA Data Award!

Whether you are a lecturer, an early stage researcher or a student - you have the chance to win a prize in one of three categories and present your work at the first ever AUSSDA User Conference, taking place on November 16th, 2022.


The categories are:

  • Teaching award: Best OER material based on AUSSDA data (in collaboration with Open Education Austria Advanced) (prize money: 500 EUR)

  • Researcher award: Best research paper based on AUSSDA data (prize money: 500 EUR)

  • Student award: Best thesis or term paper based on AUSSDA data (prize money: 500 EUR)

The prize money is not earmarked and goes directly to the winners.


Are you interested in participating? These are the general requirements your submission has to meet:

  • AUSSDA data were used

  • Data must be cited correctly

  • Accepted languages for submissions: German and English

  • Text submissions must be in PDF format. For OER materials, all formats used by the community are accepted.

The award ceremony will take place in Vienna (face to face) on November 16th, 2022. We will inform the winners in advance.
