Dataverse Mirror

Dataverse Mirror is a Proof of Concept to enable the automatic backup of a full Dataverse instance via its API. The software was developed as part of the "Improving the service level of the underfunding service providers to ensure the sustainable operation within the CESSDA ERIC - 2018" programme.

AUSSDA developed pyDataverse, a Python module, to access the Dataverse API and work with Dataverse metadata. This tool enables users to automatically download datasets from a Dataverse instance, store its information locally and transform the data for the subsequent upload to another Dataverse instance. The publicly availabla software was released as Open Source in a GitHub repository.
